Invisalign® in Telford

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® aligners offer an almost invisible way to straighten teeth, offering a more attractive alternative to fixed braces. They are custom-made from a clear comfortable material and gradually move teeth to an improved position.
These aligners are completely removable and can be taken out briefly for eating, cleaning, and special occasions. However, for the quickest, most successful results, you will need to wear the aligners for at least 22 hours each day. Often described as the ‘invisible brace’, Invisalign® is a highly popular orthodontic treatment that has been used successfully by millions of people worldwide.

Benefits of Invisalign

What is the Invisalign treatment process?

Step One – We take pictures of your teeth and create a personalised 3D animated plan. This allows you to see how your teeth will move during treatment and what they will look like after treatment.

Step Two – A series of aligners, each one very slightly different, is created just for you. You will need to wear each aligner in the series for around two weeks.

Step Three – You will need to wear the aligners on a strict regime and may require tooth adjustments at periodic intervals. The whole treatment process should take 10-15 months.

Step Four – When your active treatment is completed, you will need to retain the position of your teeth. Evidence shows that lifelong retention is required to maintain the final result.

How can Invisalign help?

Invisalign can help with a whole range of orthodontic issues, including crowding, misalignment, gaps, and incorrect bites. Straightening your teeth can also have a positive effect on your overall appearance, as bringing teeth into straighter positions enhances your facial shape and structure.

Straighter teeth and a winning smile give a huge boost to your self-esteem. Many patients find the confidence their new smile brings even starts during the treatment process, thanks to the virtually invisible clear aligners.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Every patient’s smile is unique, and every treatment journey is different so the cost of Invisalign depends on your needs. We keep you fully involved in the planning process and according to your clinical requirements and personal preferences, we will provide you with a fixed cost for treatment.

We are pleased to offer flexible payment options to help spread the cost of your Invisalign treatment.

Getting started

To start your journey, you are welcome to come and see us here in the practice for a Free Smile Assessment with one of our Treatment Coordinators. Smile assessments allow our patients to have a chat about what they’d like to change about their smile, what we could do to improve their smile, find out the costs involved, and discuss financial options. The iTero scanner will be used to show you exactly where your teeth are now and where they will be when your teeth have been successfully adjusted. The results can be sent electronically to develop your first set of aligners.

You may find it takes a few days to get used to the aligners and may have a slight lisp at first, but you should be talking clearly and confidently before long.

Yes, Invisalign aligners have been designed with comfort in mind, enabling you to easily wear them for up to 22 hours a day. They fit snugly over the teeth and have no metal brackets or wires to irritate the skin.
